Nominee for SCI-GSO Vice President - Candidate Statement

Given my experience, I can communicate well with other organizations and University Administration to ensure a smooth flow of activities and communication within SCI.
My plan would be to first see if students have any queries or problems regarding the current SCI plan. I want to first take everybody's opinion on different activities which are happening in SCI and look at their suggestions. I would be happy to help students in their career-related matters (like resume review, interview prep) and help to provide funds to them for academic and career activities. I want to host tech sessions and invite alumni to share their experiences which would benefit current Pitt Graduate students. A small get-together possibly once a month, gaming activities, and organizing overnight hackathons while collaborating with global companies and developer communities in the Pittsburgh area would be my main goal. This would ensure communication and help in networking for students. |
